Youth/Children’s Ministry

The BEBC Youth Department is about ministering to whole families by addressing the youth and moving up. Young people are treated with respect as intellectuals based on a custom curriculum to produce formidable, unashamed Christian thinkers.

Our Youth Department is headed by a triumvirate of two youth ministers and a youth coordinator.  Seeing how many young people in Church today are not aware of the basics of the gospel of Jesus by the time they reach college, or do not have a foundation to stand on their faith once they leave home, our Youth Department focuses on fellowship, discipleship and evangelism.

The young people learn how the Bible applies to every day life from music videos to relationships and issues at school.  We also practice giving an answer for our faith in various situations as well as how to share Christ with our loved ones.

We also believe in creativity in presenting our message with a conversational format instead of lectures so the youth will feel comfortable opening up and sharing what’s on their minds without fear of retaliation.

Many of our youth leaders are parents so the emotional needs of the youth are a top priority as well as the educational, yet one thing we do not do is “entertain them to death”.  As many youth groups focus solely on fun over Christ, the youth, unfortunately suffer spiritually.

In order to facilitate this approach we have a curriculum based on the “Trivium” classical educational approach which follows a child’s mental development from elementary through high school.
